If necessary, the country will have no objection even if India’s matches are played in the Emirates.

Last year, Indian Cricket Board Secretary and Asian Cricket Council President Jai Shah made it clear that India will not go to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup if the venue is not changed. In response to this, the then head of Pakistan’s board Ramiz Raja said, if India does not come to Pakistan and play the Asia Cup, we will not play the 2023 Cricket World Cup held in India.

Two weeks ago, PCB chief Najam Sethi said in a press conference in Lahore that there will be a meeting of the Asian Cricket Council in Bahrain to clear the confusion over the Asia Cup. The meeting started on Saturday. In this, the head of the Indian board clarified that the Indian government is not able to convince the players to go to Pakistan. They are unable to send players to Pakistan due to security reasons. Then the PCB chief said that recently players from different countries are coming to play in Pakistan.

No problem. Indian players will also get maximum security. But the head of the Indian board did not agree to this either. Emirates and Sri Lanka were discussed as neutral venues in that meeting. It has also been said that Pakistan will be the host of the Asia Cup. But India’s matches will be in the Emirates. If Pakistan can reach the final, the final will be in the Emirates.
