The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has made the decision to send Mohammad Saifuddin to Qatar for advanced treatment due to his ongoing back injury. Alongside him, two other cricketers, Avishek Das and Ashikur Zaman, who are also dealing with injuries, will be traveling to Qatar on Saturday. They will receive treatment at a specialized sports medicine hospital in Doha.

Avishek, a member of the victorious ICC U-19 World Cup squad, is grappling with a back injury, while his teammate, pacer Ashikur, is contending with a groin injury.

Despite his recurring back pain, Saifuddin has been pushing through and participating in recent domestic competitions. His latest involvement was with Abahani Limited in the Dhaka Premier League.

Having played 29 ODIs and 34 T20Is for the Bangladesh national team, Saifuddin’s last international appearance was in October 2022 against New Zealand.
