


Hosts Bangladesh U-19 lost by 10 wickets against Pakistan U-19 on the final day of the four-day Test at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Wednesday (May 3). In the fourth innings, the target of 22 runs given by Bangladesh was taken by Pakistan youth without losing any wickets in just 6.3 overs.
Earlier, Bangladesh went into bat in the third innings trailing by 271 runs. The hosts were losing by an inning. However, captain Shahriar Shakib’s century and Ashiq’s half-century scored Bangladesh 292 runs in the second innings. Shakib scored 106 runs and Ashiq scored 79 runs. Left-arm spinner Ali Asfand took 4 wickets for 66 runs for Pakistan. Besides, Arafat Ahmed took 3 wickets.
Earlier, Bangladesh was bundled out for only 149 runs in the first innings due to the failure of the batsmen.
In response, Shahzaib Ahmed’s 174 and Obaid’s 67 scored Pakistan’s 420 runs, leading by 271 runs.
