Comilla’s batsman Zaker Ali missed the ball while playing the ball of Barisal spinner Iftekhar Ahmed. Most of Iftekhar’s ball has been pitched outside the leg stump. The on-field umpire gave Zaker out in an immediate decision. According to THE ICC rules, it is not out. The decision was supposed to go in favor of the batsman. But the TV umpire upheld the decision to get out. Anik is shocked, the same situation is the same for everyone starting to be a commentator.

When the criticism of the dismissal started, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) gave an explanation with a statement. It can be seen that the ICC’s law has changed in the BPL! The BCB said that it is out according to the playing conditions of the BPL. However, the BCB did not disclose the playing conditions before the tournament. Only the umpires are notified of this.

According to Section 6.4.3.3 of the D1 of the Playing Conditions, if any part of the ball touches the stump line, it will be considered in line. Because of that rule, the BCB thinks that Zaker Ali’s dismissal is not out of the rules.
