Prior to this, they dominated against Sydney Sixers Women, securing a commanding seven-wicket win. Opting to field after winning the toss, their bowling unit held up well, conceding 122 runs in 20 overs. Employing seven bowlers in the match, Danielle Gibson stood out as the most prolific, claiming three wickets in four overs for 34 runs. Amanda-Jade Wellington also delivered an impressive performance, taking two wickets in three overs while conceding 13 runs.

Perth Scorchers Women: In their recent outings, the Perth Scorchers Women faced setbacks, falling short against the Melbourne Stars Women by 33 runs and enduring a defeat to the Sydney Thunder Women by nine wickets. Opting to bat after losing the toss, their batting lineup struggled, posting a mere 116 runs in 20 overs. Amy Jones emerged as the top scorer, amassing 37 runs off just 16 balls, embellished with four boundaries and two massive sixes. Beth Mooney contributed with 26 runs from 19 balls, including five boundaries.
Captain Sophie Devine also made a decent contribution, adding 15 runs from 18 balls, featuring two boundaries. However, the rest of the batters failed to make an impact, with no one else managing to reach double figures. Nat Sciver-Brunt and Alana Kings scored eight runs each. The bowling unit of the Perth Scorchers Women also struggled in the previous match, conceding the target of 117 runs in 16.1 overs.
