Manipal Tigers: The Manipal Tigers continued their winning streak with a commanding victory over the Bhilwara Kings, securing an impressive 89-run win. Despite losing the toss and being asked to bat first, their batting lineup put on an exceptional display, amassing a formidable total of 211 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Chadwick Walton was the standout performer, recording his first century of the tournament with a brilliant 104 runs off just 55 deliveries, laced with nine boundaries and six massive sixes.
Robin Uthappa also made a significant contribution, scoring 51 runs from 30 balls, featuring two boundaries and five towering sixes. Hamilton Masakadza added 37 runs to the tally, striking one boundary and two sixes during his innings. In defense of their imposing total, the Manipal Tigers’ bowling unit excelled, restricting the Bhilwara Kings to 122 runs in 20 overs. Southern Super Stars: In their recent match against the India Capitals, the Southern Super Stars faced a setback, losing by seven wickets after being asked to bat first. Their batting performance yielded a total of 163 runs in 20 overs. Chaturanga de Silva shone brightly, remaining unbeaten with a quickfire 56 runs off 34 balls, embellished with two boundaries and five massive sixes.
