Despite an early setback with the loss of two wickets, Gaikwad and Sanju Samson established a vital partnership of 71 runs, laying the foundation for India’s final tally of 185/5. The introduction of Rinku Singh, who delivered a swift 38 from 21 balls, combined with Shivam Dube’s unbeaten 22, elevated the strike rate significantly.
