Pakistan is ready to boycott the upcoming 2023 Asia Cup and 2023 ODI World Cup. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee president Najam Shetty said this on Monday. They are even prepared for a $3 million loss if they skip these two mega-events. They will not care about the ICC. Najam Sethi said, “If we do not play in the Asia Cup, we will lose 3 million dollars. If we don’t play in or boycott the World Cup, our relationship with the ICC will be bad. The India-Pakistan match in the World Cup carries special importance. Various issues will be created about it. He also said, ‘Actually, the financial issue is worth worrying about. In this regard, my personal opinion is that PCB was dependent on ICC for financial matters in the past. That’s why we had to accept their terms. Now we have a strong PSL. From there we are getting a lot of income. We have become financially self-reliant. The amount of financial support that ICC used to give, now we are getting from PSL.

So we have decided to accept the $3 million loss by boycotting the Asia Cup and the World Cup. We will do this to protect our honor and political ideology. Shetty also said that even the cricket lovers of the country do not want the Pakistan team to go to India and play in the World Cup. As they are not coming to play in Pakistan. I know the people of Pakistan don’t want our team to play in India. As India does not come here to play us. People want us to stick to our decisions,” he added.
