Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is set to set up a cricket academy in Quetta, Balochistan. He recently inaugurated a project there.

He plans to set up this cricket academy in a joint venture with the Balochistan government for the rising stars of Quetta.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan also attended the inaugural ceremony. “I welcome such an initiative by Shahid Afridi. Today, we have been able to come forward to develop the talent of the youth for him. “I want Balochistan to have a separate cricket league.

Afridi was recently appointed as the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team. He will be the chief selector for the upcoming home series against New Zealand.
