This year’s Dhaka Premier League Cricket (DPL) ended with Abahani regaining the title. Several cricketers from the country and abroad spread light with bat and ball in this event. Abahani’s Mohammad Naeem Sheikh is the best batsman of the tournament with a maximum of 932 runs with the bat and Indian spinner Parvez Rasool is the best bowler of the tournament with 33 wickets.

Abahani won the 15th title by defeating Sheikh Jamal in the unwritten final of the Dhaka Premier League. Two openers Enamul Haque Bijay and Naeem Sheikh have made the biggest contribution to the Dhanmondi club’s title win. Basically, the Akashi-Nilra have won one after another in the Premier League by relying on the shoulders of these two batsmen. These two batsmen have also held the top spot in the list of runs.

Naeem Sheikh has collected 932 runs at an average of 71.69 in 16 matches in the Premier League. He has also become the owner of the second-highest run in a recognized list ‘A’ cricket season. Another opener of Abahani Enamul Haque Vijay is the second-highest run-scorer of this season scoring 834 runs.

Legends of Rupganj’s Irfan Sukkur has taken third place on the leaderboard by collecting 703 runs at an average of 63.91 in 15 matches. Apart from this, Sheikh Jamal’s batter Fazle Mahmud Rabbi and Legends of Rupganj’s Chirag Jani are in fourth and fifth places respectively.

Left-arm spinners have shown power in this event as always. Indian spinner Parvez Rasool contributed a lot to Sheikh Jamal’s title win with 28 wicKeeping that consistency, this all-rounder has surpassed himself in this event. This left-arm spinner has taken 33 wickets in 15 matches. Shinepukur’s Hasan Murad is the second wicket-taker of this season of DPL with 25 wickets in 13 matches. Abahani’s Tanveer Islam is not far behind. 24 wickets at an average of 24.83 in 15 matches of this left-handed orthodox kets last season.

Apart from this, Indian all-rounder Chirag Jani and Gazi Group cricketer Tipu Sultan are on the list. The current champion Abahani played the highest innings of 372 runs in this tournament. A total of 34 centuries have been scored in the tournament. Out of which Enamul Haque Bijay scored the maximum 3 centuries.
