He said that the accused Al Amin appeared in the court and gave an appearance. In a written reply, he said that he divorced his wife on August 25. However, his wife did not receive any divorce papers. In this regard, Israt Jahan, wife of cricketer Al Amin, said,�I have not received anything about divorce. I just want justice.�/p>

Earlier on September 27, cricketer Al Amin surrendered in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafiuddin’s court and applied for bail through a lawyer. After the hearing, the judge granted his bail till October 6 on a surety of Tk 5,000. Before that, Al Amin’s wife Israt Jahan filed the case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafiuddin’s court on September 7. The court took cognizance of the case and issued a summons to Al Amin to appear in court.

According to the case, Israt Jahan and Al Amin were married on December 26, 2012, according to Islamic Shariah. They have two sons. The elder son is studying KG in English version at Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College. For several days Al Amin did not provide for his wife and children and avoided being traced and didn’t communicate.

Last August 25, around 10:30 PM, Al Amin came home and demanded Tk 2 million for dowry from his wife. When Israt Jahan refused to pay the money, Al Amin kicked her and injured her in different parts of her body. A case was also filed at Mirpur Model Police Station on September 1 regarding this incident.
