The injured New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson, couldn’t contain his appreciation and stood up on the balcony to applaud Conway’s remarkable feat.

In a match where England batted first, their innings began steadily with contributions from Harry Brook (25) and Dawid Malan (54), who anchored the innings. However, it was the partnership of Ben Stokes (52) and Jos Buttler (72) that played crucial roles in the middle overs, propelling England to a competitive total of 291/6 in their allotted 50 overs. Liam Livingstone also chipped in with a brisk 52 runs.
