They have posted three pictures on their social media page Cricket Board of Maldives. In one picture, a smiling Fatema is seen with Maldives Sports Minister Ahmed Mahloof. Another photo shows the two signing the contract.

The caption of the pictures read, ‘Welcome to our new women’s cricket team coach Mrs. Fatema Tuj Zohra.’ Fatema was the coach of women cricketers at Savar’s Bangladesh Sports Education Institution (BKSP). She joined the international scene of that career by becoming the coach of the Maldives team.

However, the international path will not be easy for Fatema. She has to work with a new and unconventional team. The journey of the Maldives Women’s Cricket Team has just begun. They have played only three international T20 matches. Apart from being a coach, Fatema has experience in umpiring. In 2015, she umpired in women’s first division cricket. She has completed ICC Level-II Umpiring Course and CA Course.
