Pacer Jasprit Bumrah, along with batters KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, has secured their spots in India’s 17-member squad for the imminent Asia Cup, scheduled later this month.

Both Iyer and Rahul have successfully recuperated from their respective injuries—thigh and back—to earn their places in the squad. Furthermore, Bumrah, who guided a second-string India side to victory in the T20I series against Ireland, has marked his return to the squad. Notably, Bumrah’s leadership contributed to a 33-run triumph in the second T20I, concluding his first international series in 11 months. The seasoned pacer last participated in an ODI match in July of the previous year.

Additionally, India has introduced uncapped talent Tilak Verma, a left-handed batter, into the squad, enriching the team’s composition.
