New Zealand announced the squad for the five-match ODI series against Pakistan. Stars like Tim Southee, Michael Bracewell, and Glenn Phillips are not on the team for this series as there is an IPL game. Tom Latham will lead New Zealand in the upcoming series against Pakistan. Regular captain Kane Williamson would have already missed the series due to IPL. However, he got injured in the first match against Chennai Super Kings. Recently ODI debutants Rachin Ravindra, Henry Shipley, and Chad Boyce have been included in the Pakistan tour team. There are two new faces on the team – Ben Lister and Cole McQueeny.But the Kiwis are not going to tour Pakistan with a very young team.

The team consists of Darrell Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Henry Nicholls, Matt Henry, and Ish Sodhi. About the team, New Zealand coach Gary Steed said that the ODI series at the beginning of this year was instructive for the team’s players. Playing more ODIs in a World Cup year would be great for the players. Meanwhile, Kiwis want to use Pakistani weapons against Pakistan. So the legendary spinner and former Pakistan national team coach Saqlain Mushtaq has been added to the team’s coaching panel. New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan will begin on April 14 with a five-match T20I series. This series will continue till April 24. After that, the two teams will play the first one-day match in Rawalpindi after a one-day break. The series will end on May 7.
