In an eco-conscious move, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced on Wednesday that the board will plant 500 saplings for each dot ball bowled during the playoffs. Shah further disclosed that the Qualifier 1 between GT and CSK resulted in 42,000 saplings being planted, thanks to 84 dot balls.

Who says T20 is only about batsmen? Bowlers, the responsibility lies in your hands,” tweeted Shah ahead of the Eliminator between LSG and MI.

MS Dhoni Delays Retirement Decision, Will Assess in 8-9 Months. Following the match, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni addressed the speculation surrounding his retirement, stating that he will make a decision in approximately 8 to 9 months and there is no urgency to determine his future.

There have been ongoing rumors suggesting that the 2023 season could potentially mark Dhoni’s final season in cricket.

“I am not sure; I have sufficient time of 8-9 months to make a decision. There is no need to burden myself with that thought right now. I have ample time to contemplate. The auction will take place in December,” Dhoni stated during the post-match presentation after successfully guiding CSK to their 10th IPL final.
