The Scotland Cricket Board has committed an incredible act. The president of the board has resigned along with all the members.
ESPN, Cricinfo, and The Guardian reported that last year the Scotland board was accused of institutional racism by former cricketer Majid Haq. The investigation report into that allegation is due to be released today.
And before the publication of the report, all of the board decided to resign together. They announced their resignation on Twitter.
In the resignation statement, however, the Scotland Board implicitly admitted the truth of the allegations of racism.

In their resignation letter to the board’s interim chief executive, Gordon Arthur, they wrote, ‘The board was determined to implement what would come out of this report. To anyone who has been the victim of racism or discrimination of any kind at Cricket Scotland, we are sorry and have publicly apologized in advance. We believe that we should stand aside for the necessary improvements in the coming days.

The Scottish team management immediately sent Majid Haq home from the 2015 World Cup. After that, Majid could not join the national team. Last year, Majid alleged that he was a victim of racial discrimination by the board. His career stopped at 54 ODIs and 21 T20Is. He has 60 and 28 wickets respectively in these two formats.
