He took 5 wickets for just 28 runs in 10 overs. The left-arm spinner of Bangladesh did not allow the West Indies to score more than 178 runs after returning to ODIs after more than two years. He took 5 wickets for the first time in one day international cricket and won the man of the match award.
In response to making such a feat, Taijul said that he will remember West Indies forever.

Taijul made his Test debut in West Indies in 2014. He took 5 wickets in Test debut. This time he got the first 5 wickets of his ODI career in this country. So this West Indies will always be remembered by this left arm spinner.

After whitewashing West Indies on Saturday, Taijul said after the match, ‘My Test debut in West Indies, I still got 5 wickets. I came here and got the first 5 wickets in the ODI. Whether I come back to the West Indies or not, I will always remember it.’

Taijul completed the fifer with the wicket of Caribbean captain Nicholas Pooran. Talking about the excitement of dismissing Pooran, Taijul said, “Getting five wickets is always a different feeling. It goes without saying. Maybe that’s why I jumped a little. I like it very much.
