The Tigers have started the ‘Bangla Wash International T20 Tri-Series’ with a defeat to Pakistan. Bangladesh lost by 21 runs in Christchurch on Friday. Chasing a target of 168 runs given by Pakistan, Bangladesh managed to score 146 runs for 8 wickets.
Bangladesh lost two openers Mehedi Hasan Miraz (10) and Sabbir Rahman (14) in the team’s 37 runs.

Liton Das and Afif Hossain added 50 runs. Liton played an innings of 35 runs off 26 balls. Mosaddek Hossain hit the ‘Golden Duck’ after Liton’s departure. Afif Hossain also returned to the dressing room before the team’s run was 100. He scored 25 runs off 23 balls.
Nurul Hasan Sohan, who captained in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, could not take advantage of it, returning with 8 runs. In the end, Bangladesh could go up to 146 runs with the help of Yasir Ali Rabbi’s unbeaten 42 off 21 balls.
