The Bangladesh blind cricket team secured a commendable third place finish at the seventh edition of the IBSA World Games in Birmingham, marking their victories over hosts England and Australia on Sunday.
In their fourth match, they triumphed over Australia by a margin of 53 runs. Setting a target of 187 runs while losing three wickets, Bangladesh managed to restrict Australia to 134/8.
The IBSA World Games, a prominent multi-sport event for visually impaired athletes, took place from August 18 to 27. With the participation of over 1,000 competitors from more than 70 nations, the Games showcased the exceptional abilities of athletes with visual impairments.
