The International Blind Sports Association organized the Games, featuring a cricket event that saw participation from five teams: India, Pakistan, England, Australia, and Bangladesh.

Impressive Victories

Bangladesh embarked on their journey by defeating England in their opening match, securing a 32-run victory. Posting a total of 175 runs for the loss of seven wickets, they limited the hosts to 143/7.

In their fourth match, they triumphed over Australia by a margin of 53 runs. Setting a target of 187 runs while losing three wickets, Bangladesh managed to restrict Australia to 134/8.

Path to Bronze

Although Bangladesh faced defeats against finalists India and Pakistan in other matches, their victories against England and Australia were sufficient to earn them the coveted bronze medal.
